Candle Care and Safety Instructions
Candle Care and Safety Instructions
- Ensure the candle wick is always upright and trimmed to 5mm prior to each burn for a clean burn and to avoid overheating.
- Our wicks are made out of all natural fibres that contain no lead or other harmful metals, they are not self-trimming so you will notice a mushrooming effect at the end of the wick, it is essential that this is removed before each burn.
- Trim the wick only when the wax has completely cooled and reset.
- Do not allow any wick trimmings or other material to fall into the melted wax pool.
- Never allow the candle flame to come into contact with the glass, do not use the candle if the glass is chipped, cracked or broken.
- If there is any black residue on the jar wipe this out with a damp cloth once the candle has cooled and the wax has reset.
- Only burn on a heat safe surface and keep insight while burning, never leave a candle unattended.
- Ensure that on each burn the melted wax pools to the edge of the jar so that the candle burns down evenly for future burns (this may take up to 4 hours the first couple of burns).
- Do not let the candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Never touch or move a burning candle, always wait until the wax has reset.
- Keep candles away from children and pets.
- Do not place candle near walls or anything that can catch fire.
- Use the lid when the candle is not in use to prevent a build-up of dust.
- Extinguish the flame properly by using a candle snuffer.
- Never allow the candle to burn below 13mm of hard wax.
If you have any concerns regarding the candle, please
